Backup your data onto a USB flash drive for your personal files. They are small and plug into any USB port on a PC. Otherwise get an external hard drive which can copy data at night time.
 

Monitoring your hard drive will play a key role in the speed of your computer. Ensuring you do not have unnecessary programs and files taking up valuable space will let your computer run a lot more efficiently. Otherwise you may be at the stage to install a second hard drive.

If your computer is running slowly, installing some more memory will provide a more obedient computer.  Spyware & ad-ware is a part of the Internet that is hard to avoid. With the appropriate spyware prevention techniques, you can avoid those annoying pop-ups, advertisements, unwanted emails and most importantly someone stealing your private information.   Make sure you know what the attachment is before you open it. Attachments are a very common way of spreading viruses.
